FAQs

Who do you work with?

Shape the Game often works with non and for profit organizations doing work in sports based youth development. However, we also love working with Academic Institutions, Athletic Associations, and Private Clubs/Academies.

What delivery models do you offer?

We work with our clients to create customizable options to fit each organization uniquely. The length of the project, platform it is delivered on, and target audience are all factors determined during initial consultations.
*This means we can do something as small as a one time in person workshop to as a large as a 6 month virtual campaign and anything in between.

What is Social Emotional Learning (SEL)?

“Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.”

What is SEL based sports programming?

The practice of strategically using sport and physical activity as a vehicle to teach the core competencies of social emotional learning (SEL): self-management, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, social awareness, and self awareness.

When Shape the Game builds programming and curriculum, SEL and Human Development are always at the core.
